The only real sudden death race is in the final. I think we can live with that. Practically all other sports do! It would be better if the top 2 from each lower round went into the next round. Perhaps carrying 7 and 8 points. This keeps the regatta more alive on the last day and improves the potential for big gains on the last day just as we get in many conventional regattas. This addresses the concerns sailors have re being eliminated by sudden
